About The Vales, Pennington

Val Ball and her husband, Les, established The Vales, home for the elderly in Pennington, in 2010. A Grey’s Trained Nursing Sister since 1983, Val is passionate in her care for her residents.

Residents at The Vales enjoy the peace and harmony of the surrounds of the tranquil, coastal town of Pennington. This flows through the gardens of our upmarket facility, therefore, interest and participation in the garden is always a topic of conversation.
Both the Assisted Living Facility and the Frail Care Facility have separate buildings and garden areas.

Geza, the dog, and our 4 resident cats bring much joy to our residents and staff and have a special place. Residents love interacting with the animals and they, similarly, love the attention and comfort.

The Frail Care facility is specially created to allow for easy flow of activities and caters to the needs of Alzheimer’s and Dementia care residents.

Each resident is a part of The Vales family and is treated as such. Our commitment to them and their family is to uphold the dignity of the elderly by providing a caring, supportive and protective environment.

Staff at The Vales provide compassionate, competent and personalized nursing care to each resident as well as support for family members as we understand the supportive role each family member plays.
